House of Blackheads | Melngalvju nams (Rātslaukums 7)

House of Blackheads. House of Blackheads is one of Riga's most famous landmarks, originally built during the first third of the 14th century for the Brotherhood of Blackheads, a guild for unmarried German merchants in Riga. Major works were done in the years 1580 and 1886, adding most of the ornamentations. The building was destroyed in WW2, 1941 but was rebuilt in 1999.

Melngalvju nams. Šķiet, Rīgas seja, vismaz tā, ko vislabprātāk rādām citiem, nav iedomājama bez Melngalvju nama - vienas no tām vietām, kur visbiežāk atskan ārzemju tūristu fotoaparātu klikšķi.
