Left and right bank of Riga

 Left and right bank of Riga. In this photo you see how Riga's spatial structure is divided into left and right bank of the city with a wide river Daugava in between. The main "centre of gravity" is on the right bank side where Old Town and 19th/20th Century quarters are located. The left part has developed as a historical suburbs and mostly has a nice, charming, green low-floor built-up (of course, more in the outskirts there are also soviet time apartment block areas too).
