Health care workers protest at the parliament

 Health care workers protest at the parliament. Health care workers were protesting at the parliament building today (28.11.2019) for the second time in a few weeks time. The reason - government and parliament accepted the new budget where previously given promises (and these promises were even written in the law which is still in power!) is not kept regarding to health care labor salary increase. It would seem as just one profession is fighting for it's income but the real situation is much more serious - Latvia finances public health care only by half of the European Union average. The average health care public financing figure in EU countries is 7% of GDP , in Latvia it's just around 3,5% of GDP... Medical personnel works overtime regularly, especially critical situation is with the nurses - they're about 2 times less than needed.
