One rather untypical building of Riga which was built in interwar period. This is what you get when combine Functionalism and Classicism, and smartheads call this also a "neoecclecticism". The building with it's huge windows, perfect geommetry and white color seems somewhat modern even today although built more than 80 years ago. There's a piece of modern times really, in 2000 the building was renovated and... the upper floor was added.

Netipiska Rīgas ēka, t.s. Sniķera nams, kas tikusi uzcelta starpkaru periodā. Šāds rezultāts radies, savienojot klasicismu ar funkcionālismu, un gudri ļaudis mēdz to dēvēt arī par vienu no neoeklektisma paraugiem. Ēka ar tās lielajiem logiem, precīzo ģeometriju un balto krāsu šķiet mūsdienīga pat tagad, lai gan celta pirms vairāk nekā 80 gadiem. Ar vienu piebildi - augšējais stāvs tai tika piebūvēts 2000. gada rekonstrukcijas laikā.
