Amatu iela 4 - Rīgas būvvalde

Amatu street 4 is one of Riga municipality department buildings, city's main construction council is located here. It's built in 1903 in Neo-Gothic style, by architect Wilhelm Ludvig Bockslaff. The building is adjacent to Great Guild, and it initially served as it's shop, offices and apartment building. Not easy to photograph this building, because it's inserted in a narrow cityscape on the old, cobblestoned Old Town's street - there are very rare photos where this building is seen as whole - but the cost is the very sloppy angle. To the right side you see the Great Guild itself, to the left - Small Guild. [full_width]

  1. Riga, as we are seeing is not just the queen of Art Nouveau, but a very beautiful city.

  2. Ēka ar Stūra mājai līdzīgu pagātni.
