Riga aerial at night | Rīgas aerofoto naktī

When landing down in Riga airport 2 days ago, I saw amazing aerial views of my city at night. I tried to do probably the most difficult task (even more difficult than catching a good lightning bolt!) in photography - to take a good photo in the night through the flying airplane's window. At first, camera has hard time to focus through the glass, secondly, there is a low light conditions and you're in a motion... Photographers will understand. But with the help of high ISO, persistent trying and a little bit of luck, I managed to take this photo where you can see almost all the right bank of Riga - centre and several suburbs in north and east. Illuminated streets gives you clear perspective of Riga's historical planning which is a work of art by itself. [full_width]
