Winter has started

Winter this year has started exactly the same time when last year (we have temperatures around -20 C at night and -10 C at day) and last year's winter, as you see in this picture of February, was a real winter - very cold and snowy. Is this the future waiting for us in this winter too? I wouldn't mind that at all, just - that insufferable wind should gone. Because exactly the wind creates the worst effect of coldness. As I write this post, I'm sitting in the room with only +6 C because I have wood heating here in Bauska and hasn't light the fire today, I will now go to Riga appartment where it's comfortable (but also damn expensive!) central heating.
