Brother's cemetery
Brother's cemtery is a military cemetery of Latvian soldiers who died in WW1 and War of Latvia's Independence (1918-1920). It is huge Art Deco style monument and scene of artificial landscape, built from 1924 to 1936, designed by famous Latvian sculptor Kārlis Zāle (who scuplted also The monument of Liberty in Riga centre) and architect Pēteris Feders. Surely worth to visit. Here you see the central alley but we will return there in this blog with other pics, I promise.

My Grandfather is buried here. He was a Rifleman in WW1. I visited his grave on my first ever visit to Riga last December. I am from South Australia. My father came here after WW2.
