Weather front

Yesterday observed rather spectacular weather scene - pan-European weather front which is separating gigantic cyclone from anticyclone, the borderline went over middle Latvia. This shot is actually taken in Bauska town (60 km to south from Riga), which were in cyclone (overcasted) zone, while the view is towards Riga, where they had a beautiful sunny day and evening. It was amazing how the rays of setting sun reached Bauska though, as the angle was very sloping. In the satellite image below you see how the weather front looked when this shot was taken - the arrow indicates a place from where the photos were taken. Sadly today cyclone has took over all Latvia, in overall this summer here is very overcast and rainy for now.
