Marine traffic

Riga has much more developed air traffic than sea - airport exceeded 4 million passengers last year, while seaport only some 700 000. But last week, when Riga airport as many other airports in Europe was paralyzed due to Iceland volcano activity, many people used ships to depart from Riga.
